Maybe a bit off-topic,
but if you'd write a videoplayer: that player should be aware that after
modeswitches the app should fall-back (or upgrade) to bitmap mode (or
overlay mode).
This also applies if a workspace switch happens (dragging player to other
workspace).
Of course the overlay input colorspace can be different from the output
space. Mostly YUY2 is supported on our drivers. YCbCr422 like. Hope I have
the names right by heart..
