#11500: MediaConverter renders source file unplayable -------------------------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: vidrep | Owner: stippi Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Applications/MediaConverter | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: 11499 Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All -------------------------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by ttcoder): Maybe that hints at a modified attribute (rather than core data) change then, there's a couple that are written when opening a file in MediaPlayer, I suppose it's not impossible some attributes are written to the ''source'' file when opened in MediaConverter too.. (what happens if you copy the file back from NTFS to a BFS partition? it should be stripped of its attributes then). Can you do a before-and-after `listattr file-name-here` (similar to what you did with md5).. And since that only dumps the list but not the attribute contents, also do `catattr Media:Length file-name-goes-here`, before-and-after, and really, other attributes would be good to have too. -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/11500#comment:9> Haiku <https://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
