Had some time this morning to do a fresh install of 49477 on the old
PentiumM laptop. No change, same symptoms.

Then I pkgman up'ed to today's hrev49559 and... All of a sudden it is rock
solid! No matter how many tracks I throw at Media Player (and media addon
server), it keeps working.

There's been a half dozen [http://cgit.haiku-
os.org/haiku/log/src/kits/media changes] in that range. Maybe you fixed it
for good Dario ? I gotta test on my main laptop (the one this ticket
originates from) next to be sure but it looks like it might get it back on
its feet :-)
