 Quite oddly, I just had this happen (hrev 47209) with a file where it
 overwrote text from a file in another directory.  The file it come from?
 Ironically, syslog.  This is what my file suddenly contained, after a
 normal usage pattern of opening in StyledEdit, adding/changing text,
 saving, closing:
