#10249: Haiku built from Haiku doesn't boot without disabling SMP or NX-bit -----------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: pulkomandy | Owner: bonefish Type: bug | Status: assigned Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: System/Kernel | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: vm Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All -----------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by bonefish): Mmh, I'm a bit clueless ATM. The TLB invalidation issue theory is off the table I guess. The test with the `tlb` command failed and at least according to the output the invalidation is done correctly. Since the paging structure entries look good, something must be set up incorrectly on that CPU (like CR4, but that seems very unlikely). That would at least explain, why the KDL can be continued eventually -- when the thread is scheduled to CPU 0, which apparently is set up correctly -- but it leaves me wondering why everything still works so well. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/10249#comment:46> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
