On second thought: if this blit could always be started as soon as the retrace start, AND if this blit is so fast, it would always complete within retrace, than this is a good plan! It would mean we can slowly draw in the backbuffer during the entire screen active time, and then quicky blit to front buffer during retrace. Damn, didn't think of that: sounds even simpler. :-) Rudolf.
