If nothing else, his change has brought up a healthy discussion which
will most likely result in the code working better or more correclty in
the end. We've got revision control after all, so I think everything is
fine. :-) Sometimes, things have to be tried out, and in the process,
we all gain the knowledge to them right. If you always try to think of
everything and do everything just right, you'll only get disappointed,
because of constant failures to live up to your own expectations. There
is no better way to learn something than by "just digging in".
