We have several GCI tasks for students to replace case where oldstyle BeOS
icons were used in button toolbars and/or dialog boxes etc. Are they any
good examples showing how this is done? Here's one students attempt at
replacing the toolbar in the Mail app:

icon

code
http://pastebin.com/n4r3uvva

the code is a bit hackish as he's just trying to get the proof of concept
working at this point.

Any suggestions or code on how to do this?

We've had a few students try fixing https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/4272 only
to give up after a day or so of trying.
