Unforunately the Be Book's Special Topics -> Release Notes chapter seems to
be missing in the BeBook version on the Haiku site. In the BeOS R5 version
it contains several addenda. The one for the storage kit [1] starts with a
documentation of BMimeType::{Get,Set,Check}SnifferRule(), including a
description of the sniffer rules.
I believe, Tyler slightly extended the syntax of the sniffer rules, so
checking the documentation in the sources certainly doesn't harm.
