I both agree and disagree with you, Ryan. Frankly, I don't like
google groups, etc either, and my dislike comes from practical
experience of running a mailing list that migrated to such a service
with negative outcomes.
That said, I apparently didn't care enough to make it to the meetings
and vote against it, and the membership has decided to go this way. So
be it. This group is about far more than the virtual/online
community, so I'm pretty sure we can ride out any negative effects and
cope or adjust in the future.
