35 feet reaches from the networking area (I have received the gigabit
switch by the way). We should have double that to reach the security camera
area.

We were discussing setting up a cable for network tray in the shop,
running along the ceiling from the shelf where all the electronics are
to the front door. The easiest and best way would probably be to put
it right down the center of the room, where all the electrical conduits
currently run. Would it be possible to hang not-very-heavy things from
either those conduits or the same brackets? Or at least put new
brackets along the same path?
If this isn't okay it's no big deal, it just means it has to go above
the shelves instead and is harder to reach.
As for cost of cable trays, Home Depot sells wire shelving for $1.50 a
foot and we'd need 35 foot, so. I'd throw some money into the pot for
this if we want to be all pro and stuff.
