[guispeak] software to manage networks

Hi,
Could someone tell me if there's any accessible software that would
let me manage my network? I want to be able to see if anyone is
hacking and free loading off of my Internet connection. There's more
but that's all I would like to do right now . Also I need to no how
to secure my network and my Internet connection. If someone can work
with me on this I would really appreciate it.
