[guispeak] Re: correct scanner cable

Monte, I still have the original Symb-something or other card with its parallel 
port type plug, and the cable to go with it.  I had a ton of trouble trying to 
get that old card recognized by ME, so I turned to the Adaptec 2940, which I 
got very cheap.  The cable was a bit of a challenge to find, but I found 2, one 
for a friend and one for me.  I found the proper drivers on the HP site and I 
was off.  So I have my wonderful old 4 C, running on an old Dell, while I have 
a new Epson running on this XP machine.

I have the same scanner at wrok. Are you using the original cable that
came with the scanner? Which OS?
