Hi Otis, This is usually caused (certainly on my system here) by selecting an inappropriate screen resolution for the flat screen monitor. You will need to find the screen manufacturer's web site, locate the model, and see what ranges it offers. As to WHY it's changed, I can only surmise that little sister has perhaps installed a game or such like, which recommends a particular resolution, and she has inadvertently agreed to the software making the change. Last night when she turned on her computer she couldn't get her flat panel monitor to work. It only showed "Out of range" on the screen. Do anyone no what can be causing that? I went and checked her video drivers and her display settings and I didn't find anything wrong with those. I did a windows up date and downloaded an up date for her video card and that didn't fix the problem. So only thing I can see is it being the monitor itself. I appreciate any help on this matter.
