ACB Leaders,
Lainey Feingold, the California attorney who has worked diligently alongside ACB on a variety of access issues for a number of years now, has asked me to share a request for information with our lists. If any of you can help, please get in touch with her at the email address provided in the text below.
Thanks very much.

As an outgrowth of ACB's advocacy efforts in connection with point of sale devices, we are looking at the accessibility of the web sites of both Rite-Aid Pharmacy and Safeway Stores. (Safeway stores includes the following chains: Vons, Dominick's, Randalls, Tom Thumb stores, Genuardi's and Carrs.) ACB's lawyers are interested in hearing about your experiences on the websites of these companies. They are interested in both good and bad experiences. Here are some things they are checking, but they are interested in other issues as well:
>>1. purchasing groceries and products >> >>2. refilling prescriptions >> >>3. learning about in-store sale items, weekly specials, etc. >> >>4. locating stores >> >>5. using coupons and other special codes >> >>6. accessing other general information for example, the Safeway site has >>significant amounts of information about medical issues and food, >>including a recipe database. The Rite Aid site has significant amounts >>of drug information.
Please send any responses to this email to Lainey Feingold and Linda Dardarian, ACB's lawyer on these issues, at: mailto:lfeingold1@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
