Hi Jamal, Did you get the message I sent you about the problem I am having with dbdialog? Thanks, -----Original Message----- From: guispeak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:guispeak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jamal Mazrui Sent: Saturday, February 19, 2011 10:04 PM To: guispeak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: Ian D. Nichols Subject: [guispeak] Re: Filedir problems continue Hi Ian, Users of EdSharp on 64-bit Windows reported compatibility problems with NVDA. Since I want to support that screen reader, this led to an investigation which determined that it was better to make a 32-bitexecutable the default, rather than one which ran in either 32-bit or 64-bit mode depending on the Windows version. Since EdSharp and FileDir have much of the same code base, I made the same changes to FileDir. In both cases, however, I have made the original compilation mode still available via a 64 suffix to the base name of the executable. So, try running FileDir64.exe instead of FileDir.exe. If that works for you, change your desktop shortcut so that it points to that executable instead. You could also try installing the 32-bit version of the Microsoft Filter Pack for Office 2007 in case that makes a difference when running FileDir.exe. Sorry about the problems -- people were reporting positive outcomes with EdSharp so I did not expect a problem with FileDir. Let me know your results. Jamal On 2/18/2011 8:44 PM, Ian D.
