[guispeak] Download managers

i wonder whether anyone could suggest a free or inexpensive download
manager which is free of Spyware! I only need it to be able to resume
interrupted downloads, but being on a dial up connection this is an all too
frequent occurrence.
I used Download Express (Metaproducts) for some time but after
uninstalling it and re-installing it I have been unable to get it to work.
