SPOILER ALERT EastEnders' Sharon Rickman and Phil Mitchell to rekindle on-off
romance after she calls off wedding to fiancé Jack Branning
They've had a tumultuous relationship spanning two decades and have been on and
off again more times than it is possible to count.
But it would appear EastEnders' Sharon Rickman and Phil Mitchell are to
rekindle their romance once again.
The on-off couple - played by Letitia Dean and Steve McFadden respectively -
will finally acknowledge their feelings for each other when the buxom blonde
calls off her engagement to fiancé Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

And this time, it looks as if it's for real with the couple setting up home
together in Albert Square alongside Sharon's son Dennis.

A source told The Sun newspaper: 'Phil and Sharon are two of EastEnders'
biggest characters and they've always had feelings for each other. But their
getting together again will still come as a shock.
'It promises to be a massive storyline for the rest of the year.'
The pair - who first slept together in 1994 when Sharon was married to Phil's
brother Grant - recently posed together as a couple when Phil attempted to gain
custody of his granddaughter, Lexi Pearce.

But his hopes of romance won't come until she calls off her wedding to Jack at
the last minute when she discovers he has been in contact with his
ex-girlfriend, Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack) while she is jail.
A source told the Daily Mirror recently: 'Sharon hoped her wedding day would be
one of the happiest days of her life.
'But the love triangle with her, Jack and Phil Mitchell causes rows in the lead
up to the wedding and after Jack and Phil clash she discovers Jack has been in
contact with his ex Ronnie Mitchell who is in prison.

That is the final straw and the wedding is called off, which may give Phil hope
of a reconciliation.'
Jack and Phil have been enemies for months, with the pair both competing for
Sharon's affections.
However, in scenes aired last week, Jack left hardman Phil hospitalised after
hitting him.
Sharon and Phil first fell into bed together when the barmaid had a furious row
with Grant, signalling the end of their marriage. She fled to the US but
returned to Albert Square in 2001, when they enjoyed another steamy fling.
There may be trouble ahead! But Phil is also set to enjoy a night of passion
with married mum Tanya Branning after he consoles her amid her latest
relationship drama with husband Max
The romance was short-lived, with the bottle blonde going on to marry her
adopted half-brother Dennis Rickman, before he tragically died in her arms.
But the pair will face a few bumps along the way when it comes to their
romance, with Phil also set to share a smooch with Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner)
as he consoles her over her latest marital drama.
