And there are some pretty dodgy voices on Thunder too I seem to remember!  But 
it would be good to have a few more choices in Guide.  For what it's worth I 
prefer Daniel to Jane because I think he's clearer and less irritating - but he 
has his limits, i.e. when he reads jokes.  He basically kills them.

But give Daniel his credit, have you ever heard of the microsoft sam and 
Mary!!?  I can understand about it all being on the 1 note, but it is loads 
better for me than what i used to have to put up with before i got Guide.

  Can not possibly agree with either of you two boys, Daniel is definitely a 
  manufactured voice, that drives you mad, it is all on one note, with no 
  differences in tone, but Jane is a much more rest full sound , and
  Elaine much more of a natural voice.
