Good evening all. I had such a lovely time at blind club as always and we are
all so happy to be back. I had no luck on the dominoes but did win some fruit
pastel sweets on the raffle. Shame not chocolate of course but a good thing I
still have my big stash from Christmas so I didn't mind. It was 2 ladies
birthdays so we had fresh cream cake and there were also biscuits. I had my
medicine with chocolate biscuits of course the best there's just no contest
there. Sadly my friend Ron wasn't there as he had to go to a funeral oh dear
but at least I will see him Wednesday at the other blind club and of course I
saw him Saturday at the wedding. Well I'm going to try another blind club next
Monday it's called the riverside club I used to go but left as it wasn't very
good but I'm told by the blind members that club has got so much better and
livened up a bit with more people going so I'm going to give it a go next week.
This is so cool as then I will have every Monday out instead of just once a
fortnight so that will be ideal. One week I will have Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday out and on the alternate weeks I will have Monday and Tuesday out
with the dance being weekly and the riverside club and the other Monday club
being on alternate weeks so that will be ideal for me. What a good start to the
new year for me getting an extra club to go to. I'm told they now play bingo at
riverside I love bingo. They also do the usually chatting over biscuits and a
cuppa so let's hope I'm going to like it as I'm sure I will. Well for tea it
was meat pie and that aero mousse and later will have more of the quality
street chocolates I started last night so my medicine in a big way. Keep you
posted how dance goes tomorrow. Again my first one of the year. It's so good to
be back to normal. Hope all had a good day. Glad you enjoyed my account about
the wedding and all had a good weekend too. Love Clare
