So glad Vanessa, your bad day turned into a good day, it can make all the difference. You have certainly been bisy, your cards sound wonderful. You have certainly put a lot of time and effort into them. you obviously enjoy doing them. Keep warm and don't let Jack Frost bite. love and best wishes Dawn and Chris thursday i had tesco shop as my daughter and grandson was coming between twelve and one o clock, kept phoning her as she had not arrived, i was worrying as i bought prepared fresh vegetables that you cook in microwave for four minutes each bag, cauliflower, carrots, brocolli, sliced green beans, cabbage, also bought milky bars, bacon rasher crisps, things i do not eat i did not want would go off, anyways she came at six thirty and slept here, we had really good dinner, my first dinner since being ill with norovirus, oh yes indeedy i am lots better. friday i booked disabled bus for ten forty five as carer dresses me at ten thirty, my daughter dressed me, no carer, so phoned them up several times, shes on her way they kept saying, taxi driver is waiting, carer eventually turned up and off we go to town, my first day out since going to my daughters for christmas, as not been well, i bought nice thick heavy woolen long cardigan the length goes between your hip and thigh to keep me warm, four nighties, four chiffon scarfs to match my outfits, a short winter dress to wear over black trousers or leggings, five packs of card, five packs of paper sticky lace for cards, five bottles of p v a glue, five packs of double sided thick tape and sticky pads, five packs of embellishments, glitter and glitter glue pens, had a naughty drink, then my daughter left to take little charlie for tests, me and carer came home in disability bus, what started as worrying day through lateness of carer, turned out to be a really fun day out. saturday i been making cards, glueing, glittering to my wildest dreams, i push myself to limits you would never believe, i use pins, blutack, heavy objects to hold things in place, glue all over my hand as i spread it carefully bit by bit, takes forever, i painted the cards with pink glitter paint, elaine my carer told me colour on wednesday, so i painted one side of the cards and left it to dry, next day painted other side left it to dry, i paint and glue on a catalogue book and each card i paint goes on catalogue page and i tear each page off so it is dry for next card to paint or glue, so no mess on my high trolley table, which i dettol wipe when finished, next day my daughter cut hearts with funny shaped cutting scissors on seperate cards that i glued to the pink glitter paint cards, today i am going to p v a glue them and cover the glue with pink glitter and the cut out heart in red glitter, then tomorrow do the other sides, then put the paper sticky taped lace on the front, then write with glitter glue pens, the verse will be on the back typed from my documents and printed and cut on my five in one cutter etcetera, not all today, but over next few weeks, sounds easy, but oh my it is not, it is fiddly and needs time and patience and what i think it will look like and what you feel when you get it is what matters and keeps me getting up each day to do it and i have to make cards we can feel and touch, as that is what we really see isn't it, the feel of the shapes and textures, so if i can do it you can too, so have a go and see what you can do, love you lots. from Vanessa The Google Girl. my skype name is rainbowstar123
