HI Jennie, Thanks for your message, good to hear from someone in the senior citizen bracket. I have been using a computor for about four years, mainly for sending and receving emails to keep in touch with family. I receive photos of my great grand children some of which I print off large to make a display on my kitchen wall. I also use the compitor to write short stories and anecdotes etc. for a creative writing group to which I belong as it is impossible for me to read or wtite using handwtiting. I was not a typist but I did learn to use a typewriter when I was in my forties. However I was badly ot of practice when I started to use "word" on the computor. I have a large key board and monitor which help, but I am still not very speedy. A few other things I find useful, scan and read for instance, but I have not had a lot of success with the internet I do not seem to be able to use the links on a website. I am still getting used to Guide Chat and am glad when my name pops up so I have somrone to reply to. Love and Best wishes Elizabeth -----Original Message----- From: Jenny Coupe - Email Address: jenny@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent On: 17/08/2012 12:29 Sent To: Elizabeth Kay, Guide.chat - Email Address: ebeth.kay@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, guide.chat@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: In Reply To: [guide.chat] Short Story Hi Elizabeth, loved your short story, been there, done that and that was a good night. Please tell me how long have you used a computer ? were you a typist ? I thought that at 80 I wasn't doing too bad but you put me in the shade I do get fed up with older folk who don't even try to learn, you must admit Guide makes it easy. Jenny C
