Hi All,
I have now been matched with a new Guide Dog after the retirement of my
previous Guide Dog, Zita, due to her having Front knee joint problems which
stopped her from being able to work.
Zita has been re-homed with a family farther north in Scotland and is doing
well as a pet.
My new Guide Dog, Kendal, is a Lab cross Retriever, 21 months old, light tan
and is a male dog.
He was matched with myself as he was to fast for the previous person that he
was supposed to be for.
I started training with him this afternoon and all went well for the first
session.
I am training from home as it is more convenient for the Trainers and myself as
I live in a rural area and very seldom in the town. Plus I am closer to the
Trainers than the hotel that they use in this area.
