Well I was born in two up and two down terrice house back yard loo in back yard.
My three brothers and our stella lived in it with mum and dad.
Mum was nurse in them days at hospital
dad drove truk making deliveris
well I love my child hood days in that terrace house in pebbles street.
round the corner my primary school was their about 15 minutes walk
I started at aged 5 years old. stella tommy and david nd vincent all in
differnt school our Julie was born in that house just tiny baby
I had all my cousins living in same street.
my dads brother uncle Joe and my auntie mary lived opposite us all
wow lovely having family all in same street.
In summer all neighbours sat outside the front door on chairs drinking beer
hahahahahaha we all playing on our bikes in swimming pools the small round
plastic ones we all shared everything kids all played so happily then
In school I had perfect eyes sight and perfect hearing
never knew waht was in store for me.
my hair was auburn lovely straight hair lovely white teeth.
I was in play in my priamery school
in play called
Doctor do little I was the sheep .
our parents came to watch me in the school assembly hall
loved it.
After that we all moved in to another house bigger one with garden 3 gardens in
it drive way for car
3 bedrooms
We had old fashioned fire place in cream and black tiles coal fire it was
two large wooden cupboards on each side
black leather sweet but not like the ones we have nowdays
mum made our cushions out of yellow curtains for the sweet.
never had carpets we had cushion floor then
we had two rooms one one for eating in big old wooden table that opened out at
first
as time went by it got modernised
I went to special school then it had deaf units in main stream
I was 9 years old by this time Our julie was 4 years old in nursery els where
in this particular school i was found out about my deafness then
although moderate hearing had to wear two boxed hearing aids.
wore harness around my chest as my two hearings aids wer put in their they
didn't rattle about mum made me straps over my shoulders.
like two pockets on font of my harness to slot my two boxed hearing aid in.
fasten on back of me .
had to always wear harness
so mum made me all different colurs to match my little dresses.
had operation at aged of 9 that is why they discoverred my going deaf
mum and dad was upset over that.
then thankfully had moderate hearing for good few years.
I got job as prefect in my school I was bossy child as you can all imagine that
can't you?hahahahaahha
I use to help out in school dining area putting all knifes and falks and spoons
out part of my prefect work
We played rounders in our school playground
.kept missing the balls it was only then near my 10th birthday my sight was bit
blured only tiny blured
parents got scared
had number of visits to the eye hospital for weeks and weeks
then went to an new school again but this time at aged of 12 sat in classroom
chalk kept going all blured then got sharp pains in left eye i started
screaming teacher ran over she rushed me to sick bay.
phoned for ambulance then my parents rushed in eye hospital.
too late retena dropped completely damaged
no teknology then .
I was in hospital for 4 weeks
had to lie still .
after came out couldn't go out of house or go back to school for 6 weeks.
mum and dad very carefully watched me.
I struggled then after that although I had perfect eye sight in my right eye.
I carried on as normal then
by this time our stella had starting courting her boyfriend terry
then at 19 she got married i was bridsmaid and our julie too
we both wore Salmon bridsmaid dresses
stella was pregnant with our michelle by then
sella and terry got new house lovely house
as time passes we went to her house every single weekend and lept over for
weekends
her childrn were in there house we all went on lovely holidays to Blackpool
wehn I was 16 years old.
I left high school that I GOT bullied for years in
well I went in to Rehabilitation centre
Remploy for 6 months training.
After that got myfirst job in Jewish firm very tight they are for paying wages
hahahahaha
just got £23 a week
we packed velvit jackets all the go in the 70's loved my packing job for Kays
catalouge and marshel ward and Janet frazer they wer the catalougues in them
days.
I got bored stiff of that job after 3 weeks so went in to work in another
clothes factory making sports wear called peer knit
then after it went bancrupt
I got another job in bedding factory packing bedding quilt covers danger mouse
paddington bear
victora plum and winnie the pooh
after that I went to work in slater meat factory wow that was a slave driving
job got very good wages then
worked with my mmum and dad dad was over the lorrie drivers
mum over the sausage part oh my
you had to be so quick especially the convayor belt wow
then moved me in to the Beef burgers department wow exausted in there.
you were stood up for hours from 8am in morning till 4pm
we all had one hour break.
6 of us all wnt to cafe over the road oh wow nice to be able to relax.
left that job because had breast operation to remove a cyst
in hospital for 11 days
the job was too heavy.
left went to blind workshop in old trafford.
worked on all different jobs in there
canteen worker
then cleaner
then in bedding department putting heavy plastic over velvit headboards.
then went in packing room packed keyrings toys
teasets
went on couple of machines met eric in there
we both went to pub for glass of coke and sandwidhes for our hour dinner break.
i could see at first then it all went blured
got sacked for crushing lots of orders on machines because I wouldn't own up
that my sight was going rapidly
oh very bad experince that was in 1989
came out on ill health .
went on benifits then.
spent most of the eyars with my x boyfriend eric
life was good then we ewnt to frank taylor centre in between
me and eric split up in november 11th poppy day in 2007
my beautiful mum died of stomach cancer too
dad died of stomach cancer in 1988.
now just geting on with life with my carer
