I didn't realize word would spread so fast. In case you are not aware, Chad
Davies <https://www.facebook.com/chaddavies> was hit by a semi this
afternoon while riding his bike. He's at Grady. Looks like he'll need
stitches above his eye and we think the eye socket is broken. He's in X-ray
at the moment but they let me in any time they pause for anything. He's
able to move his limbs and is aware, so that's good. I'll keep you all up
to date.

Chad Davies <https://www.facebook.com/chaddavies> update: So far he has a
broken scapula, broken eye socket, broken ribs, and a vertebrae compression
break. Again, he's still able to move everything but we expect a long
recovery. And they aren't finished.

A dear friend of mine was hit by a semi while out cycling today. He has
many broken bones and even a crushed eye socket, but he's able to move
everything and is awake and aware. Please, if you have a minute to send up
a prayer or send good vibes to Chad <https://www.facebook.com/chaddavies>,
I know he and his wife Kathy <https://www.facebook.com/kathysdavies> would
appreciate it.
Update: he will be undergoing several surgeries and will take a long time
to heal, but it sounds like he will recover fully! He doesn't have any
brain damage, thank God!
Thank you all for your prayers. Please continue to send them up; it sounds
like it won't be an easy recovery...

Update on Chad Davies <https://www.facebook.com/chaddavies>: he'll have
surgery on his lower back probably tomorrow but it will not be an open
surgery and should only take an hour or so. He'll be in a neck brace for a
few weeks and will have facial surgery some time this week. He's in good
spirits considering and says thanks for the prayers. And thank you #

We've had a lot of requests to visit Chad Davies
<https://www.facebook.com/chaddavies>, but he isn't ready for visitors yet.
Give him until Tuesday and maybe he'll be ready. Just too much pain and
interruption. He has a lot of doctors right now. He's quite the popular
patient.
