Greetings,
In preparation of the 2015-16 Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC), the
Advance Website (AWS) is anticipated to open toward the end of next week!
See below for more information.
*What is the CRDC?*
The Civil Rights Data Collection contains data on key education and civil
rights issues in our nation’s public schools by the Department of
Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR). The CRDC collects information
about school characteristics and about programs, services and outcomes for
students.* It is mandatory for every public school and school district in
the country to respond to the SY 2015-16 CRDC.*
*What is AWS?*
The AWS is a pre-registration tool that gathers contact information from
districts for the CRDC. It also provides a list of schools for each
district to review and update, as needed. The Information collected by the
AWS helps OCR finalize the school and district directory incorporated into
the CRDC data collection tool. The AWS is expected to close September 30,
2016. The CRDC data collection tool is expected to open in early December
2016 and remain open for 75 days.
*Next steps?*
Next week, account login information will be sent to all superintendents
and Principal Contact Persons via two emails—one email with the username
and one email with the password. Additional directions will be included in
next week’s email.
