From: Denise Epperson [mailto:denise.epperson@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, December 05, 2014 8:55 AM To: Marvin Nunnally Cc: Paul Cramer; Melissa Matthews; Maureen Baker Subject: RE: January 2015 Board of Directors Meeting Marvin, I spoke to the board and we discussed the issues and the cost it would be to have our meeting in Athens next month and the cost out weighted the benefits because most would have to stay overnight. We have board members from Pike County, Bibb County, Newton County, Quitman County (South Ga at the Alabama Line), Hall County, Paulding County, Bleckley County, Emanuel County, Henry County, Buford City, Terrell County, Lamar County and Griffin-Spalding County. The cost of mileage and hotel stay to Athens verses just paying mileage to Macon is a big difference. However, there is a Ga Department of Education Conference usually in August that most of our board attends that we have a meeting at since it is convenient for everyone to meet. However, it is difficult to find a location to meet that is quiet where everyone can hear each other. Would you be willing to hold this offer until August for us? We would appreciate it, if you would. Please let us know if this is an option. Glad to hear that you had a great Thanksgiving Holiday with the family. Again, we apologize for the meal mishap during your most recent visit to Athens. We learned a valuable lesson in serving chicken under a heated lamp and we have decided to no longer serve chicken in that fashion. You said that you had been playing phone tag with our staff prior to the holiday. Secondly, The Classic Center would like to extend its facilities complimentary to your Board of Directors for its next Board meeting. You informed me that your group will be communicating on Wednesday, December 3rd and you will be more than happy to share our invitation for the January 2015 Board of Directors meeting for the Georgia Information System Users Group. I will follow up with you on Thursday, December 4th. This is include a complimentary meal for your meeting. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule. Marvin J.
