We try to schedule separate classes just like the HS and MS. In most
scenarios, these kids have different teachers during the day. Some split
into partial EIP, for one subject but not another. In the end, it is more
efficient to schedule all of the classes.
Problem is.....the teachers change out students frequently, regroupoing,
moving these five to Mrs. Jones class these ten to Mr. Smith, etc., so
changing schedules can be a nightmare. With this, however, we try to hold
the schedule true for the year.

How do you currently schedule your elementary schools? Do you try to
follow a more true schedule like middle and high or are all periods and
subjects just place holders? What discussion, if any, has your district
had in regards to scheduling at elementary in connection with HB364? Has
there been any discussion about period attendance at the elementary level?
We are in the planning process and would like to have some input as to
what other districts may be thinking about doing.
