This is one that was shared when the Advocacy Committee was being
"spotlighted".
Samantha is the Data Coordinator for Monroe County Schools and is in her
19th year with Monroe County Schools. Previously she worked ten years for
Clayton County Board of Commissions and Schools as a data operator and
computer programmer. She also serves as her system's Webmaster and performs
other duties that include serving in a help desk capacity for school and
district users. She and her husband Patrick have been married for 26 years
and together, have four children and five grandchildren. Her husband,
Patrick, is in the construction industry. Her oldest daughter, Brittany,
has recently returned to Monroe County and has two daughters, ages 9 and 6.
Samantha’s oldest son, Blake, serves in the United States Navy, recently
receiving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He has two daughters, ages 7 and
5. Her youngest son, Joshua, has recently married and works for the state
of Georgia at the GPSTC in Forsyth. Her youngest daughter, Lauren, has a
son, age 4 and she works for an eye physician firm in Macon. Sam’s hobbies
in-
clude photography, crochet, and traveling. She has several life bucket list
items; which include to celebrate her birthday, New Year's Eve, in Time
Square. She would love to found a charitable organization that would assist
the family members of our US military.
