Thank you so much, I’ve made it work and I’ll investigate the other gadgetry.
Mum thrilled now watching Raymond Blanc and his mini veg plot!

If you find using the laptop fiddly you can use one of these to add BBC
iPlayer, All4, ITV Hub to your TV, then you get a remote control and it is a
bit easier.

Hello Gav, that would be great if you can! It is an experiment – life is tough
now they have replaced Poirot with Downton Abbey!

Hi Sarah – I have a spare, usually you don’t need an audio cable if you use an
HDMI cable as that will do the sound and video in one cable.
Let me know if that suits and I’ll drop it through the letter box.

Subject: [greatcoxwell] To borrow if I may:
Dear All,
Does anyone have a spare HDMI cable and an audio cable? I’ve only just
discovered these, as I think I can link my laptop to the telly so that Mum can
watch Monty Don in his garden of a morning (this is part of the RHS Virtual
Chelsea and looks good), not to mention all sorts of interesting things
available, but not on the ordinary television…. And Mum and the laptop don’t
connect well, because of touching keyboard and things and it gets tense.
If you do, would you mind lending them to me so I can see if my theory works,
and if they do, I can order online!
Hope everyone is well, gardens flourishing etc.
Best wishes to everyone,
Sarah
