As noted: It's not supported by Microsoft. I have all 64 bit DCs and I do sometimes need to edit from there. Example: to get the SID of an account correctly into a User Rights Assignment setting...if not done on a DC, you can get an account's "text" name added to the GPO instead of its SID... if the account is ever renamed...you break the GPO for the account. I can say it has worked just fine for specific Security settings I've used it on (Account Policies, User Rights Assignments, and Security Options only) and for Admin Template (registry) items. I have not tested other client extensions. Always test in the lab first to make sure it works. You're on your own with this one....
