Thanks...I'll try that out and see how it goes.

Although its a hack, one thing you could try is outputting the RSOP reports
to HTML and then use WinDiff to compare them. Its not ideal, but probably
quicker than manually walking through them.

Yes,

You guys are both right. GPOVault is a very nice tool, but I need to be able
to compare RSOP results, if at all possible, so I don't have to visually
inspect 50+ pages of settings and which GPOs they're coming from.

If anyone else has any ideas/suggestions, please chime in.

Thanks,

Jamie

Sorry, you are correct Darren, there is no RSoP functionality in there now.

The comparison reports are on the individual GPOs and the settings managed
within.

It may still help out...

Thanks Kevin. Although correct me if I'm wrong but I think GPOVault only
does setting report comparisons? Not RSOP comparisons?

Hey Jamie,

As someone mentioned on this list last week, Microsoft just acquired
DesktopStandard. We have a product called GPOVault that integrates with
GPMC. There is a free version you can download from www.desktopstandard.com
<http://www.desktopstandard.com> . It does comparison reports that you can
use.

Does anyone know of any tools and/or methods by which you could take two
RSOP reports from GPMC and compare them; possibly highlighting or somehow
identifying where there are differences?

Regards,

Jamie Nelson
