David, if you can upgrade your DFS servers to Windows Server R2 you can benefit from many of the new features for branch office. The problem that I assume you are encountering are very common amongst Win2k and win2k3 DFS systems. The Win2k3 R2 DFS is worth upgrading to if your company utilizes and wants to continue and use DFS.
