Hi Ian - Just FYI - same frustration here. We actually called our TAM about it a few years ago and after some research the response came back that it would require a DCR to implement having COMPUTERS selected by default in the object picker dialog boxes. We gave up :-( -DaveC It is definitely frustrating for me too. I find myself always forgetting to change the objectType as well. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any way to change the default behavior either. I need to add 'Computers' to the object types being searched in order for that to work. That is, I want to avoid having to: - click 'Object types' - select 'Computers' - click 'OK' every time. I want that 'Computer's object type to be pre-selected. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: gptalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:gptalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Shane Williford Sent: 04 June 2008 15:09 To: gptalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [gptalk] Re: Adding 'Computers' as a default chosen object type I'm sorry Ian, I don't understand what you're trying to do; could you give more detail of what you're trying to "manipulate" in the AD U&C MMC? Is there a way to force that type to be added as a default? *********************** You can unsubscribe from gptalk by sending email to gptalk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the freelists.org Web interface.
