It is hard to keep up with you guys when things are active and I am
traveling. Hello this time from Miami Beach. What a radical change in
culture and temperature from England.

Another possibility is that BPI stands for Business Points of Interest as
opposed to User points of interest.

Following on Kim's email about renaming User.POI files, if you do a save
as, you may get a file called User.POI.txt and that won't work. These POI
files happen to be text files but the POI extension is not recognized by
the standard Windows settings. It is better if you copy the file so you
have a duplicate, rename just he part before the extension, edit the file
and then do a Save or Alt F4 Exit and say yes to save.

This may seem like a lot of trouble. It is definitely not for the
technically challenged. It is a bit tedious.

The user points now contain points from a half dozen people. I have
contributed about 2000 points.

There is a trial version of version 3 on the CD for those we were not able
to update in person. The serialized version will be emailed to you soon.

The Earthmate comes with a suction cup, which can also assist in placing
your receiver against an airplane window. Remember to reserve a window
seat. Once you get a fix in the window, you may be able to hang on to a fix
even with the receiver on the seat-back tray. One gets creative putting the
Magellan against the window. Put a bag on the arm rest with the receiver on
top of it. Cram a pillow between the arm rest and the wall and put the
receiver on top. If you are nervous about flying, it can help to have a
distraction like seeing the little towns zip by.

John, the small receiver you saw at Sight Village was a Delorme Earthmate
and not a Magellan. Pulse Data Europe should be carrying those once we get
them up and going.
