I've carried my BT 338 in my pocket; receiving 10 satellites. It's crazy
accurate.

Cheers,
David

I can appreciate the testing methods for new receivers by SenderoGroup.

The GlobalSat 338 bluetooth receiver definitely has a few disadvantages.

Like a lot of other receivers, there is no audible or mechanical indication
if the receiver is on or off. The "no bluetooth receiver detected" message
from BrailleNote Gps helps to make sure I have turned the unit off after
use.

The case that comes with it is fair. It has a closed belt loop which
means the case will not fit the loop on the strap that comes with the
BrailleNote Gps. This could be a real inconvenience if one didn't carry a
backpack or have some other means besides the strap to carry the receiver
when walking. .

I am sure there are probably more practical receivers out there! I will
stick with this and my blue logger receiver for awhile.

Below are some of the specifications I found on the buygpsnow.com website.
