Hi Hope, that idea of yours is good, add the ability for the system to tell you if the waypoint is a Turn or not when editing, I like it. I will add that as a feature request to our database.

There is no current way to make a waypoint change from being a straight versus a turn after the fact in edit mode. The reason for this is that it is really complicated to get the angles correct and if you start putting in waypoint turns when your not heading in the correct direction to begin with it can mess things up when following the route. We may revisit this issue again in future releases if we can really figure out a clean and simple way to do it.

The best thing to do is find out which waypoint is in error then delete that waypoint using the edit route function. Then go back out and add that waypoint again with the correct turn designation. Just make sure you are heading in the correct direction before you make the turn when you are adding that waypoint, and that you add it in the correct sequence. One way to do this is to switch the system from turns only to detailed so that you can make sure you are adding the waypoint before or after the next waypoint in your route, not before or after the next turn in your route.

Charles.

Hi all. Ok. So today was the real tesat of the sendero's gps. I went to the university to try and plan some routes. The first route I totally messed up on a waypoint. Ok. Let me see if i can describe it. I go straight on a road (as if I'm crossing a road) and step up onto a sidewalk. I marked the sidewalk as a waypoint (and I was supposed to turn right). Well, like an idiot, I didn't specify the direction I was supposed to turn. Now that the route is saved, (there were many more waypoints which I did correctly), can I edit this waypoint to make my turn? Here's the weird thing, though. If I am in virtual mode, and follow my route and keep pressing heading, before I hit the sidwalk it says I"m going wst. After I hit the sidewalk, it says I'm going north (which means a right turn). Is there a way to get that sound though (the audio file Charles made "turn right) by editing the waypoint? I've tried the edit mode but it only lets me rename, erase, make waypoint a poi, etc. If someone can give me a suggestio id' graetly appreciate it. Sorry for the nonsense. Just got back from hawaii and am feeling really jet lagged.

Hope and Beignet
