Hi Chris thank you for helping me. Do you have to have the receiver on when you are looking for the manual? I will try to do this tomorrow probably. Been up since 5 this morning. It's exciting to think I will be able to know what is around in a strange city since I am thinking of moving yet another time, that would be 17 times in 20 years. Not good, so I need all the help I can get. Thank you. Karen and Harpo guidedog, Bailey

Hello,To access the manual from within gps you press space with H (BT)
Help
(QT) then space down till you get to Sendero Documentation and press enter. You can also listen to the audio tutorial, it is on your compact flash card in a folder called 6gps42audiotutorial. You access the tutorial using the media player. Chris On Sat, 29 Dec 2007 21:13:14 -0500, Karen Bailey <karenb74@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:

A sat is short for sattelite. (I'm sure you know but these aredevices inorbit that use complex time keeping methods and signalmeasurements, combined with your receiver to calculate lots of things includingyourposition in 3D, time and so on.
Sindero offers the M1000 from Hollux which from what I've read onthis listis the only way to go (and only really supported device). Youcan buy themanywhere but I'd suggest Sindero as they also include a carryingcase andagain, you'll get the excelent support. The Sindero price is abit higherthan say an Amazon but again, you get the custom case and thesupport whichis more than worth the delta in price.'

You will have a little variation in the point of intrest. The best thing to do is when you get to the spot you wish to makea p o I,is to stand at the spot for 10 to 15 seconds and then check yoursat.status and then mark the p o i. this gives the system a better chanceof moredifined position of where you wish to make the p o i.
Note; remember there is a little veration in the fix of a G P S.it willput real close to the spot but not rite on top of it. This iswhen you useyour great mobility skills for that last 15 to 20 feet or so, andputyourself rite on top of the position.

Greetings, I am John Harden in Daytona Beach Florida. Ipurchased a usedmPower QT 18 with Sendero GPS. I have version 4.02 and the Holux GPSLIM236 reciever.
Now, this is a strange thing. When I am standing still andcreate ausert point of interest I am told that the point that I just created is somewhere else. Fore instance, I am told that the point that I just created is 25 feet south. If I haven't moved why is the point somewhere away from where I am?
I have marked all the gates at our bus transfer station. Whilestandingat gate N3 the GPS announced gates S4 and S7. S4 is not too faraway but S7is probably 200 feet down the platform and on the other side. Thisprojectis probably not going to be very helpful. Any help will beappreciated.
