Hi Mike,
Yes, I have fond memories of WayFun and am proud I was part of the group(s).
Enjoy your time in Victoria.
My Love and I just returned from a fantastic and (somewhat)
adventurous holiday to Sofia (Bulgaria), Bucharest and Timisoara
(Romania) and Prague (Czech Republic).
Thanks for bringing back those great WayFun memories.
All the very best,
Ilona

Some of you old-timers will remember fondly the Sendero WayFun trips.
September 2007 was to Victoria and Vancouver.

I have not been back to Victoria since. Gena and I are spending the weekend
exploring starting with the Clipper ferry from Seattle to Victoria and the
good old BrailleNote PK and Seeing Eye GPS on the table announcing points
along the way, speed and so forth.
We found a wonderful Italian restaurant last night after just wandering
around with no technology. We have been playing with Aira and the new
Seeing
AI app.
Today, we will have the PK and iPhone as we explore on a beautiful day in
Victoria. It is fun to see user points of interest we recorded 10 years
ago,
which are still helpful like steps to the harbor and plaques in the park.
Although there are new tools for accessibility, the spirit of independence
and exploration are the same as we combine the best of the old and the
new.
We use to blog a lot going back to 1997 so enjoy the Sendero travel stories
on several continents.
