With the availability of things like ultrabooks now, I wonder how long the blind note takers will be around though. There is little reason to spend more money for a product that is a closed proprietary system when you can have the same functionality and much more by getting something such as a macbook air, or another small laptop. And the notetakers are way behind the times, I think the last update to the human ware products introduced support for reading PDF files, you've been able to do that on main stream computers for years. In short, the blind notetakers offer nothing that you cannot do on a small portable laptop and braille display for a cheaper price.

One of the things Sendero has always said is that "Not one size fits all" nor is one product best for all situations.
The iPhone is wonderful for consuming information but I don't think it is as productive for writing or sending information. I don't mind reading emails on my iPhone but I always write emails on my computer or BrailleNote.
So, when it comes to GPS, we want the Seeing Eye GPS product to be easy to use and full functioning for those who just don't want to carry a notetaker for whatever reason. We fully expect the BrailleNote and Sense GPS products to remain as a good solution for both consuming information and especially for efficiently writing and researching. When it comes to figuring out destinations and giving driving instructions to a friend or cab driver, I will be using my PK. In other less time sensitive situations where I am just following a route and wanting basic LookAround information, the iPhone GPS will be great.

I have the XGPS Bluetooth arm band GPS receiver for the iPhone. Hard to tell if it is better than the built in GPS. It is kind of a pain to wear it.

I just noted reference to it in the news announcement from Sendero but there wasn't any additional information about it. I will be very interested as I have never had any particular interest in those note takers nor the extra equipment to pack around. I really prefer the universal functionality of a notebook computer but the iPhone pretty well includes most of that now along with a phone and perhaps soon a fully functional GPS solution. Awesome.

It’s an application that has not yet been released by Sendero. I believe it’s a fully functional gps program that will work similar to mobile geo or the sender gps programs for the note takers.
