But you have to know the rough distance between whatever you have as your
virtual position when you start out to the distance of the city you want to
find, don't you? For example, when I first turn on my gps, I would get the
message that no receiver was detected, and to either turn it on or switch
to virtual mode. So I'd switch to virtual mode, probably here in
Sacramento. Now supposing I wanted to find the airport in Chicago, IL, and
that I had the Illinois maps loaded. When I do the space f and have to do
the starting and ending distances, wouldn't I have to know how far it was
from Sacramento to IL? Or, by loading the IL maps, can I just do the space
with f and not put in any numbers? I'm confused about how your method of
finding cities would work without inputting starting and ending
distances. <smile>
