Remember that the alerts for a trun in a route mean that you should turn at the next opportunity, not that you should turn that instant. Think of it like the signs on a highway. They are placed prior to the actual street corner so the driver has time to slow down and make the turn. The double beep indicating a turn on the BrailleNote GPS tells you to start looking for the next available street.

The quality of the street map data can also impact the placement of the turning point. If you are traveling a route regularly and wish to move a turning point, delete it from the route and manually add one where you want it.

Oh I'm using my O and M skills, but when you look around and don't see
the turn to the street that you are supposedly at, its kind of annoying
and when your root says to turn and there actually isn't a place to
turn, that can get interesting too. I'll try back to 50 FT though and
see what happens.

I don't like to be negative about the GPS but the GPS system help you to get there but not to be your eye while you are walking around, so it is important for use to use your mobility skill to do the actual work for you and use your GPS to help you to know where your surrounding is. Yes it would be great it would work perfect but it will be a long while before we see

this. Jerry
