I recently updated stuff and gPodder (3.8.5 on Windows 7) stopped working -
downgrading Python to 2.7.10 worked for me. Haven't had time yet to
investigate any closer, sorry.

I am not the most tech-savvy, so apologies if I am being dumb.
I clicked the gpo CLI button in start Nothing.
I rebooted. No change.
In the gPodder application folder, I opened the folder labeled "bin" and
found gpo, gpodder, and gpodder-mgrate2tres in there, but no python bin.
I rummaged around in the Python27 folder and do not see anything labeled
"bin" or "gpodder".

Did you try the "gpo" CLI utility? (There should be a link in the
start menu) Does it show any error message or traceback? Failing that,
have you rebooted since you installed Python 2.7 and PyGTK? Also, can
you try running "python bin\gpodder" in the gPodder application folder
(assuming that python.exe is in your PATH variable, if not, something
like C:\python27\python bin\gpodder" might work better).

:checked,
No error, it simply doesn't open. After clicking through installation it
said "Installation complete!" and the checkbox for "launch now" was
but no launch. I tried opening manually, but nothing- no error message.dmarc-noreply@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>:
I am pretty sure I installed the dependencies properly. I used the links
provided on the gPodder page and followed the instructions.
Thanks,
Lisa

Hi,
Which error message did you get? Did you install the dependencies as
described in http://gpodder.org/dependencies? ;(32-bit Python, etc..)
Thanks,
Thomas

gPodderHello,
I bought a new laptop running Windows 10 this week, and installed
but3.9.0, along with Python 2.7 and PyGTK. Installation seemed to work,
3.8.5I
can't launch gPodder. Did I miss a step? I'm not sure where to begin
checking for an error. I did try uninstalling 3.9.0 and installing
doesn't(the version I used on my old laptop running Windows 7), but that
seem to work either.
Many thanks,
Lisa
