Darin,
I'm not familiar with the 'movetoipod' extension but gPodder 3.6.0 has 'native'
(i.e. not needing an extension) support for syncing to iPods. (iPod should be
one of the device options in the sync configuration tab.)
It requires gtkpod to be set up and working, however.
Have you tried that?

Hello All,
I suspect this gets asked, and re-asked, but I'm looking at trying to
get ipod support working for gpodder 3.7.0 under openSUSE 13.1. I've
installed and enabled the movetoipod.py extension references in bug
#1674, links below.
The extension is copying the podcast's to the device, i can see them
when mounting and browsing the ipod's file systems. Yet when I
disconnect the device and go to the podcasts menu there are none
listed, they're not found using the native search.
When running 'gpodder -v' it appears the issue is the playlist is not
being updated, below is the output from the terminal. Any thoughts on
how to debug this further?
