Hi, gPodder 4 has been released last weekend: http://blog.gpodder.org/2014/03/gpodder-400-iffy-kiffy-izzy-oh-released.html http://blog.gpodder.org/2014/03/gpodder-4-vs-gpodder-3-release-notes.htmlMost users at the moment will want to stick to gPodder 3, but gPodder 4 is the version we worked on for new mobile platforms.
If you are using Sailfish OS or Blackberry 10, you can now download gPodder 4 for these devices:
http://gpodder.org/downloadsFor Desktop usage, and usage on existing devices for which gPodder 3 exists, users are advised to continue to use gPodder 3 (there is, for example, no functional Desktop UI in gPodder 4 at the moment). gPodder 3 will continue to receive updates and fixes in parallel. If you are using Sailfish OS, Blackberry 10 or the command-line interface ("gpo") of gPodder, you might want to upgrade to gPodder 4 (in case of Sailfish OS and BB10, that's your only option, as there's no gPodder 3 port for those platforms).
If you're looking for the source code, you'll find it here: https://github.com/gpodder/gpodder-core (gPodder 4 Core modules + "gpo" CLI)https://github.com/gpodder/gpodder-ui-qml (PyOtherSide-based Qt5 QML GUI Reference Implementation) https://github.com/gpodder/gpodder-bb10 (QML Reference UI packaging for Blackberry 10) https://github.com/gpodder/gpodder-sailfish (Sailfish Silica QML UI and packaging for Sailfish OS)
Source tarballs of gpodder-core and gpodder-ui-qml are also available on http://gpodder.org/downloads
Down the road, the lean gPodder 4 codebase will allow us to port it to even more platforms in the future, as it has a cleaner separation between core functionality and user interfaces.
Enjoy, Thomas
