I can confirm this works as intended, thanks for fixing this.
With direct access to the API maybe it's possible to get more than just the last 10 videos perhaps? Maybe hidden away in some option?
Another issue is that coverart is not automatically downloaded.

In case anyone wants instructions on getting a API key from Google, there's this "helpful" page from Google.
https://developers.google.com/youtube/registering_an_application

Here's the TLDR version:
0. Login with a Google account
1. https://console.developers.google.com/project
2. "Create Project", name it anything you want
3. On the left side "APIs & Auth" > "Credentials"
4. "Create New Key" > "Server Key"
5. ...
6. Profit?

Hey everyone,

I found some time today to do a quick fix-up of the YouTube issues for
gPodder 3 - those are available in the Git master branch now - please
give it a spin! You need to get[1] a YouTube API key yourself and
enter it in the settings page. There's also a menu item / button /
command (depending on UI) that will fix up existing subscriptions
(this also needs an API key already). This has been written in such a
way that subscribing to YouTube users (as opposed to channel IDs)
still works, gPodder will resolve the user name to a channel ID when
it is added.

Would be great if you could give it a spin, I initially wanted to do a
release today, but it'll probably only happen in the next few days, so
if you can test out the Git master branch to see if there are no
regressions for you, that'd be great :)

Also still to do: Fix up YouTube support in gPodder 4; I haven't done
anything yet on that front. Once that fix is in, I'd like to do a
release of gPodder 4 as well (Android, BB10, SFOS).

So up next is the YouTube fix for gPodder 4 and then a release of both
gPodder 3 and gPodder 4. The plan after that is to get gpodder.net
syncing for gPodder 4, this probably also needs some server-side
changes, but should make syncing also more robust.

Thanks,
Thomas
