Thanks for the tarballs you sent. I've created a section called "How do
I create a patch?" in the Wiki that might help you in the future to send
in a nicely-formatted, easy-to-read patch that highlights the changes
you've made, so more people can have a look at it and give feedback.

Jerome is already working on MTP support, although with a slightly
different approach than yours. As I see this feature being useful to
several users, and both of you have tried working out MTP support, I
think it's best to get you connected, so that you can work together on
that feature.
