Ring Road Section Opens

Curious locals braved the wintery conditions on the weekend to check out the
opening of Sections 1 and 2 of the Geelong Ring Road. The new road was
opened to vehicular traffic late on Sunday afternoon.

 

St Laurence Care Farm Opens  

The St Laurence Care Farm has been officially opened in Lara. The Care Farm,
that sits adjacent to Costa House, gives residents the opportunity to care
for and feed a variety of animals while giving them with a sense of
responsibility in a calming environment. 

 

2008 Geelong Shoot Out

Right now, you can watch FIVE of the Top Ten films from this year's festival
on GOTV via the 'Shoot Out Geelong 2008 ' tab. We are eagerly awaiting

City of Greater Geelong  - Community Update #Four 
After almost 30 years of planning, Ocean Grove has finally received its own
Aquatic and Sports Centre. Minister for Community Services Lisa Neville,
along with Mayor Councilor John Mitchell and Councilor Jan Farrell,
officially opened the Bellarine Aquatic Centre in front of a crowd of eager

You Yangs Host Olympic Field

Despite horrendous conditions and heavy rain, riders and spectators traveled
to the You Yangs on Saturday for Day 1 of the National Mountain Bike Series.
Three former Olympic Mountain Bikers joined around 200 riders from around
Australia for the third round of the series and the first National event to
be held at the You Yangs.
