Hi Bill,

Has Dancingdots completely abandoned Sibelius now, as I notice no mention of it in your previous posting?

Hi, Terry,

Thanks for posting this question to our list. I did receive your message
asking this question off-list and have delayed in responding until I had
some news for you.

Officially, Dancing Dots does not yet support use of GOODFEEL and related
software under Windows Vista. We will be testing SharpEye, Lime and
GOODFEEL with Vista over the coming week or so. Our initial testing
indicates that these programs will work just fine under Vista but that we
will need to revise our installation program in response to the way Vista
stores script files and Registry keys. Once we are satisfied that all works
as it should, we will make an announcement to this list and other places.

If you are looking for a laptop on which to run GOODFEEL and related
software, I would think anything that can run Windows Vista or XP can run
our software without any problem. As a general rule, order as much RAM as
you can as Vista can address much more memory than XP can. On the other
hand, 1 gig of RAM would be way more than enough for the notation software. On the other hand, if you or your student plan to use this laptop to produce audio with our CakeTalking for SONAR scripts, please call us as Dancing Dots
now sells and supports laptops specifically optimized for pro audio use.

Regards,
Bill

Does anyone know if Goodfeel will work with Vista? Any suggestions for a
laptop to use?
Terry
