Hi Joleen

When you open the Part And Voices dialog box, you have to listen the first Jaws sentence. It describes and indicates the part in witch you are.

Objet : [goodfeel] Naming Parts in Lime

Hi All,

I am working with a simple piece of music in Lime after having had sighted assistance to scan and correct errors in SharpEye. This time the piece has an additional staff for the melody as well as the piano accompaniment.

Voice Menu, parts and Voices.
I have always had trouble after selecting Parts and Voices to know what part has focus. JFW is all too happy to read everything and the arrow keys don't seem to read only the selections that give me clear indication that I have selected the choice that I want.

My first try in this case was to select the first part (Part 1) and rename it to "Vocal". All went well.

My second step was to rename [Part 2-1 to "Piano RH 1". To my surprise, this step also caused the renaming of the bass cleff to Piano RH 2-4. All subsequent efforts failed to give separate names to the right and left hand parts for the Piano. I tried Deleting the vocal part altogether as I don't need it. This did not help. I think that the bass cleff should have the original title of Part 3 instead of Part 2-4.

I went to the documentation for Lime and found nothing that seemed relevant in this case.

Forgive me for having so many questions and so many problems. Please know that I am trying to solve matters before bringing them to this list.

Again, I thank you in advance for any and all offers of assistance.

Joleen
